While palm trees can contribute to the beauty of your landscaped backyard and pool areas, their seed pods and dead fronds that like to hang around can suppress their attractiveness and make a mess. We recommend an annual prune of palms to remove the dead and dying fronds and their large seed pods. Pruning of palms is one that requires the skill of an arborist so as to not affect the health of the palm. Palms actually have no cambium layer (bark) so they are quite at risk to pests entering when pruned incorrectly.
